How To Make Great Connections Without Meeting In Person

NT01-Branded-16Let’s face it, face to face time with someone is and always will be the best way to make a great connection. Nothing beats being able to look someone in the eye and see the reactions on their face when you have a conversation.

But, this doesn’t mean you have to be in the same room to network with people to make great connections.

With the online tools and communities out there I’ve made some amazing connections with people all over the globe.

Social media is a great way to start a connection with someone who might be a great referral partner, mastermind member, or even a client.

Think about the people who would be great connections for you. Where do they hang out? Do they spend time on LinkedIn, Facebook, or Twitter? Then connect with them there. Comment on their stuff, ask them questions.

Once you’ve made a connection and they get to know a bit about you, reach out and see if you can get them on a short call.

With the amazing technology we have today, you can use tools like Skype and Google Hangouts to have a video chat with them. It’s the next best thing to face to face. You still get to see their reactions and it’s almost like being in the room.

I’ve had amazing conversations with other marketers from Australia to London and everything in between (along with all over the US).

These conversations have lead to clients in 5 different countries and referral partners all over the globe. All without leaving the comfort of my office.
